
Student Registration Agreement and Form
Please read this information fully and fill out the form at the bottom of the page. This agreement establishes your rights and responsibilities as an ISG student.
The ISG Registered Gemologist Appraiser Program consists of eight (8) courses that are provided to you as internet study per the information contained in the ISG Registered Gemologist Appraiser program outline. Effective March 30, 2022, total tuition for students residing in the United States for the complete RGA Program including the full program, practicals, exams, and Gemology Reference Book Library as outlined in the course page is US$2,995.00 for United States students, US$3,495.00 for international students. Gem Equipment is needed to complete the program and is not included in this program price. Optional gem equipment packages are available from the ISG. Students can obtain their own equipment from other sources or purchase equipment later. There are no other fees or costs, other than extra educational and/or practical programs as offered by the ISG, and the potential for Final Exam retake fees that may be needed. Upon completion of the RGA tuition payment and after the three day review period, the ISG will send the Gemology Reference Book Library. These will become the property of the student. All identification assistance will take place online or phone consultation. Additional practice sets are available for a nomimal fee if the student would like to expand their study. The ISG RGA Title requires a 2 year recertification that includes the recertification course and exam, and a fee currently of US$150.00.
International Students. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and shipping problems, we are restricted to doing business in a restricted country list that changes from time to time. Contact the ISG office for specific and current details.
Legal Jurisdiction. The International School of Gemology is registered in Bexar County, Texas, USA. It is agreed that all parties will abide by the laws of the State of Texas in all matters relating to this agreement. In the case of any dispute, the legal jurisdiction of resolution shall be Bexar County, Texas.
Registration Period. The Registered Gemologist Appraiser program registration is for a period of 12 months from the date the ISG Student Number and Password access codes are sent to the student upon registration. Failure to complete the course in the allotted time voids the registration. Time extensions may be available for a fee based on availability as determined by the ISG office.
Right of Cancellation. The Student has the right to cancel this agreement within 3 days (72 hours) of receipt of the ISG Website Access Codes, based on the laws of the State of Texas, USA and the elements of this agreement. Gem Equipment packages will be shipped after this three (3) day grace period. By submitting this Student Registration Agreement, the Student agrees to this and the limitations set forth in this agreement. The Student further agrees to not make any attempt to create a credit card charge back after this 3 day time limit. The student will have access to the written course notes sections in order that a full evaluation of the course material can be made during the initial 3 day time period. Full refunds, minus a 5% non-refundable registration fee, will be given to anyone who requests same within this 3 day review period based on the above. Anyone experiencing extenuating circumstances may call the ISG office and we will work with you whenever possible.
Maintain Services. The ISG agrees to provide the courses in a 24 hour internet based format, and to provide all due diligence in maintaining the website services, course quality, timely customer service, and support for The Student. ISG office hours will be 0900 until 1400 hrs CST Monday through Friday. The ISG makes every effort to insure that our program is as mobile friendly and responsive as possible, but limitations beyond our control still exist due to the many different formats on the internet.
Program Items. The ISG reserves the right to alter items listed in any promotional offering at any time based on availability of gemstones and/or gemological equipment. In the event that an item is added or removed from a promotion, that change will be published in advance of the change whenever possible. However, the ISG reserves the right to make changes and substitutions of equal or greater value if the availability of certain items becomes limited.
Hold Harmless. The Student agrees to hold harmless the ISG and all employees for loss of service due to internet service provider problems, Acts of God, Acts of War, criminal acts against the website by hackers, and any other problems resulting in loss of access to the ISG internet courses that are beyond the direct control of the ISG.
Respect of Copyrights. The Student agrees that the ISG course materials are copyrighted by the ISG, and further agrees to not copy, publish, or otherwise disseminate the ISG course materials for any reason other than their own personal study and reference. Should the student be found to have violated this section, student agrees to pay all legal costs of the ISG for damage recovery as a result of their publishing or distributing ISG course materials without permission.
Professional Conduct Code. The Student agrees to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner at all times when dealing with other students and ISG staff members. This includes, but is not limited to, emails, forums board participation, and phone calls. Violations of the professional conduct agreement may lead to temporary or permanent suspension at the discretion of the ISG.
Registration Activation: Upon receipt of the ISG Student Registration Form and Tuition Payment, the New Student File will be created and the ISG Student Number and Password, along with other information required for the student to get started, will be sent within 24 hours. If the student does not receive their ISG Student Number and Password within 24 hours we ask that you contact the ISG office in case of communication problems. Phone to ISG: 210-695-5520.

Please Note: We DO NOT have a payment plan. To offer a payment plan would require us to create and staff an Accounts Receivable office which would greatly increase the cost of operations, and add the cost of financing. In order to maintain our low tuition costs we cannot offer payments. You can take the program via Individual Courses to spread out the cost. |
